According to Benjamin Franklin, “…in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” That’s as true today as when he wrote that in 1789.

This practice area is headed by Daniel E. Davis, Esq. a 40-year veteran tax and business attorney. Daniel E. Davis is a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of the State of California. He is also a California admitted Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who previously worked in the tax department for one of the Big 8 firms, Haskins & Sells, later Deloitte, Haskins & Sells which eventually merged with Touche Ross forming Deloitte & Touche. Daniel E. Davis is a member of the U.S. Tax Court. He is regularly consulted by other tax professionals about complex tax issues. He has taught tax law as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University. Daniel E. Davis’ critical thinking and sage advice and counsel have resulted in substantial tax savings for his tax payer clients.

The Internal Revenue Code (IRC) is highly complex and very technical, with numerous exceptions and tax loopholes. It is a veritable minefield to negotiate without a knowledgeable guide. Daniel E. Davis’s vast knowledge of tax accounting is impressive.

Pretty much no matter the size and scope of the tax issue, Daniel E. Davis is up to the challenge. The tax impact of business decisions is often very important.

Our Santa Rosa law firm also prepares estate and gift tax returns usually as a part of its estate planning and probate practice.
