Daniel E. Davis is a both an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). He was born at Hamilton Air Force Base, California. Mr. Davis is a California State Bar Certified Tax Specialist; his practice emphasizes business law, tax and estate planning. Mr. Davis received his B.S. degree cum laude in 1971 from Brigham Young University and his Juris Doctorate in 1974 from the University of Utah. He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Mr. Davis was a member of the staff and Assistant Editor of the Utah Law Review. Mr. Davis is also rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell®.

Following graduation, he worked in the San Francisco Tax Department of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, CPAs, from 1974 to 1977. He joined the Santa Rosa law firm of Spridgen, Barrett, Achor, Luckhardt, Anderson & James in 1977, becoming a partner in 1981. He is a founding partner of O’Brien Watters & Davis, LLP. Mr. Davis is a member of the State Bars of California and Idaho as well as the Sonoma County Bar Association. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (A.I.C.P.A.). He is also a member of the Redwood Empire Estate Planning Council (President, 1985–1986). He was on the Adjunct Faculty of the Golden Gate University Graduate School of Taxation from 1985 to 1989. Dan is a member of the Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary Club (President, 1994–1996). He served on the Boards of Directors of Santa Rosa Youth Soccer League, Rincon Valley Little League, and the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts for several years.

He has handled significant business transactions including $100+ million mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Davis has been selected to Super Lawyers for Northern California.
