Michael G. Watters handles all aspects of family law under the California Family Law Act including dissolution of marriage, legal separation, child custody and visitation, domestic violence, etc.

Our Santa Rosa law firm has a long and distinguished history of handling high-asset, high-end dissolution of marriage cases involving important, cutting-edge legal issues. Although most cases settle before trial, our attorneys have years of experience with a proven track at trial if need be. In recent years, we have had a number of lengthy family law trials, including a 73-day trial and a 43-day trial both of which we won for our clients. We also handle appeals in this area of law. O’Brien, Watters & Davis law firm also provides advice of counsel in the area of prenuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, marital property agreements and co-habitation agreements. In the area of non-marital relationship litigation, the firm handles Marvin v. Marvin-type cases, such as in the Watts v. Watts case. The firm also handles adoptions.

Our Santa Rosa attorneys have been successful at trial in getting courts to set aside a 14-year old marital settlement agreement (MSA) and judgment, setting aside two pre-nuptial agreements between parties who were lawyers, etc.
