Over its long history, the Sonoma County law firm has handled a considerable amount of business litigation. These cases include everything from fraud in the sale of a business to fraud in the sale of commercial real property, representation of corporate directors and officers (D&O) in various kinds of cases including lender liability, involuntary dissolution of corporations or partnerships, partnership disputes, shareholder derivative suits, anti-trust, unfair competition, advertising injury, false advertising, stealing of customer lists, solicitation, trademark disputes, etc.

A former partner (who was lead counsel) in 2014, with the assistance of Michael G. Watters, Diane A. Singleton and Deirdre Taber Kingsbury, obtained a multi-million jury award in favor of our clients in the Cardoza v. Reed case. This was one of the largest jury verdicts in the county’s history. (Mr. Watters handled the cross-examinations of the principal defendant, the defendant real estate brokers and the defendants’ bankruptcy lawyers).
